Brazil is a country with unbeliveable cultural aspects, the Brazilian
culture is a mixture of the native culture from the indian, mixed with
the European culture and the African one, out of this mixture, one of
the greatest cultures in the world was born.
There are some curiosities, for example, the Northeast has the most
present African culture until today, while the South has the most
present European culture.
The movie industry in Brazil has been growing, of course it can not be compared
to Hollywood productions, but the quality of Brazilian movies has been increasing,
there is a lot to develop yet, as there are not many investments on movies and
other cultural projects yet, unfortunately.
One thing we can not miss when talking about Brazil’s cultural aspects is Carnival,
it is certainly the biggest party in the country, each city comemorated it on it’s way,
in Rio de Janeiro, and other big cities, there are Carnival Parades, with alegoric
cars, the samba (Brazilian kind of music) schools walk on the streets dancing with
enourmous and great Carnival costumes. Some people see it as a party where people
just drink and have sex, well, there is a lot of sex and drinks during this party,
but it is not what it is all about, it is the meaning of the Brazilian culture,
it is something that outside cultures have not changed through time.
Talking some about music, Brazil has it’s own styles, such as samba, bossa-nova,
forró, and some other local kinds of music, they are not very known outside Brazil.
A fews Brazilian bands are known outside the country, such as the Mutantes, or Roberto
Carlos, for example.
It is impossible to make a summary of the Brazilian culture as it is really huge,
each part of the country has it’s own piece of culture, including music, parties,
dances, and everything else. It’s a huge country with a huge and great culture.
