It’s been a long time since youtube was just a place where people would upload their videos for fun, it got so big that some people took advantage (or pure luck), to become stars. The website receives millions of visitors looking for something nice to watch every day, some singers started to upload their own videos when youtube was first launched, some of them did it after it was up for a few years and became celebrities in a couple of months.

It’s a very modern way of getting exposure, even though most of youtube’s celebrities are temporary ones, it makes some classical singers angry, singers who have been trying to become famous for years while some got famous without even wanting it, it just happened.

As examples, I can list Esmée Denters, who went on a world tour with Justin Timberlake and had her album released a few weeks ago, or Mia Rose, who is also recording an album. A good or bad thing, doesn’t matter, some people are getting rich from it.
