Gas Prices in America and in Asia
The gas price has been increasing insanely during the past years, while in the US people are paying around $4 dollars/gallon, on the other side of the country, in China, people are paying around $1.5 dollars/gallon.
If gas is coming from the same sources, as neither the US or China are independent on oil producing, why is the price so different?
The answer is simple, the Chinese government controls the economy, on a pseudo socialist society, even though there’s a lot of international money in there, while neo-liberalism is widely practiced in America, private companies control the market, of course, the state does have control of the economy, but they’d better not try to fix it.
Last week, the US government tried to fix the horrible real estate situation of the country, the result was even worst, investments on the country felt by 10%, why? Investors said the government should not interfere on the economy, plain and simple.
Would you pay $15,000 for a toast?
I wouldn’t, and so won’t the guy who purchased it on ebay, we often see weird things being sold over ebay, like the air Angelina Jolie breathed, or an empty box for ten thousand dollars, the last one was this toast with an image of a woman, who, by the way, ran away on the day of her wedding.
The bids started at $1,00 and ended in $15,000. Someone in California - USA purchased it, but as we see, he/she does not intend to pay for it, the money was going to be donated to charity, at least that is what Perry Lonzello, the auction started, said.
Do people bid on these things for fun, do they have money to spend or they’re just stupid? lol
This is something that happened a long time ago. I know we should not make fun of these accidents, but this is one I always wanted to write about.
Back in 2006, two guys, who wanted to be like Darth Vader from Star Wars, decided to make fluorescent “spades”, they got tubes, and poured gasoline into it! Ok, it was fine, until they lighted that up and that exploded.
Fortunately, both of them survived to tell how stupid it was, well, it is a funny story, but at the same time, sooo stupid lol.
It is not make-up, or ink or anything else, Paul Karason, a 57 year old man has blue skin. That may sound pretty weird, but he did not notice that at first time, it was a gradual thing, so neither him nor anyone around him noticed the change. He only noticed that when a friend he hadn’t seen for a few months asked what he did.
Well, no one can say it is a normal thing, the man has been received nicknames, just like Smurf, that cartoon, as seen in the picture. Karason drank a potion, based on silver to cure something, but he believes that what caused the “blue thing” was that he scrubbed the potion on his face to treat a skin problem.
I am sure this story about the blue man is not over yet, let’s just wait and see what happens or which color he will turn into lol.
This has been one of the most commented news lately, some people saw a witch flying over some mountains in Mexico, as most people would doubt it, they shot a movie that is available on the internet.
The local police was just as scared as the population, some believed it was a real witch flying on her broom, some believed it was a joke or some kind of bird. The truth, it that none of them was right, it was just a balloon, everyone was making a mystery out of a simple and common balloon. lol

Now that has been a dream of many people, asking Bill Gates something, of course, it is a far dream, meeting him in person would be almost an impossible thing. But, the good news is that he is going to be at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, mainly to answer questions made by common people.
BBC is the big one behind this thing, if you go their site, you will see there is a form, you can fill it, and well, if you’re lucky enough, Bill Gates is going to answer your question, it’s worth a try to ask one of the richest personalities in the world a question. Good luck.
The whole world is now preparing New Year’s celebrations, which are certainly more celebrated than Christmas, as it is not a religious commemoration. We’ve put together a bit of how it is celebrated in a few different countries.
Hong Kong - China
New Year in China is not really on December 31st/January 1st, as they do not use the same calendar we do, but there are still great and beautiful celebrations
London - United Kingdom
Although the English people are known for being more reserved, they do celebrate New Year with lots of parties, the fireworks the the London Eye are the big thing of the night!
New York - United States of America
New York City/Island is a place that never stops and everyone knows that, the New Year’s celebrations there are also very intense, the Statue of Liberty is a great place to see the fireworks, as seen in the picture!
Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Brazil is certainly one of the country that most celebrates New Year, people there are very festive and party-like, the fireworks over there are known for being one of the biggest and most beautiful of the world.

A ship was taken from down under the sea this week in China, studies showed that it has probably sank over 800 years ago, it was a merchant ship, carrying antique objects (oh, really?) such as porcelain and gold. It took them two hours to raise the ship as it was certainly deteriorated by the water.
It was taken from water, and it is now going back to the water, the ship will be placed in a museaum, inside a big tank, so that it looks like it is still sunk.
